I didn't realize the high level of interest the BHCA had in the proposed Lennar Development (site of the existing Seaport Marina Hotel - 2nd + PCH). Mobility Element/Lennar
Hi Kerrie,
The Mobility Element of the General Plan is being updated alongside the Land Use Element. The two are scheduled to be adopted at the same time (in approximately two years). The lead staff person working on the Mobility Element is Sumire (Sumi) Gant. She should be able to answer any specific questions you may have. The SeaPort Marina project is to be heard by the Planning Commission on Thursday February 15th at 1:30pm in the City Council Chambers. Written comments from the public will be distributed to each commissioner prior to the hearing. Please send any comments either to me (charles_hungerford@longbeach.gov) or Derek Burnham, the project planner (derek_burnham@longbeach.gov).
The Final EIR will be available at least ten (10) days prior to the Planning Commission hearing, both online and here at City Hall (5th floor) for public review.

Planning Commission meeting?
When will the agenda (Feb. 15 Planning Commission) be available- with "staff recommendations" for the Seaport Marina project?
SeaPort Marina Project
Yes, the Final EIR will be up for certification at the hearing on February 15th.
The agenda will be available approximately one week prior to the hearing. Copies will be available both online and here at City Hall (5th floor).
Staff is recommending approval of this project and is currently in the process of drafting conditions to attach to it.
SeaPort Marina project public hearing
At the applicant's request, the date of the Planning Commission public hearing for the SeaPort Marina project has been continued from February 15, 2007 to March 15, 2007.
