The SPIN event will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 and is part of the Long Beach Family Bike & Festival Weekend, a two-day festival in the East Village that will include a series of events and activities as part of the AMGEN race. All events will take place in the East Village at 1st Street and Linden Avenue.
The pieces are being installed along Bluff Park and at other places throughout the city.
The SPIN artists will be on hand to receive acknowledgement from Suja Lowenthal, 2nd District City Councilmember and Thomas Fields, chair of the Redevelopment Agency Board. Following the unveiling, the artists will attend a reception at Utopia Restaurant.
