Historic street signs for Belmont Heights Historic District took a giant leap forward when the Long Beach Navy Memorial Heritage Association approved a grant for the purchase and installation of new street signs. The Metropolian Transit Authority will pay for 80% of the cost and the grant will pay for the remaining 20%. There are 67 signs in the existing historic district and each sign costs about $100.
The historic street signs will certainly define the Belmont Heights Historic District and give credence to the many neighbors restoring their beloved homes.
