I wondered what the status of the property at 226 Mira Mar Avenue at the southeast corner of Mira Mar and Broadway is.
This property has been in a stagnant state of (dis)repair and under construction for nearly a year now and no progress seems to be made. It is a real eyesore as a gateway to our street.
I believe that the property was posted for foreclosure at the end of May.
It is surrounded by an ugly cinder block wall which was not there when the property was sold in January 2006. There is large pile of dirt or sand in the former garden area.
Something should be done to beautify this ugly mess. Either the owner should finish the job or it should be restored to the condition that it was in late 2005.
