Banning gas powered lawn mowers/leaf blowers
Fri, 08/15/2008 - 3:50pm — AnonymousThe city of Los Angeles has enacted a ban on gas powered leaf blowers, I'm guessing that it includes mowers as well. At any rate, I'm curious about such a law being passed here in Long Beach.
These contraptions are so offensive for the obvious reasons and the fact that they are almost a daily occurrence from Monday through Friday due to the fact that lawns cover so much ground whether it's a single-family dwelling or an apartment/condo complex...all with different lawn maintenance schedules. read more »

Used Book Sale, Uniform Sale and Pancake Breakfast
Join neighbors at Fremont Elementary school (4th St., between Roswell and Termino) for a Cub Scout-sponsored Pancake Breakfast. Browse the tremendous used book sale and pick up gently used uniforms for kids in either elementary or middle school. All proceeds benefit either the Cub Scouts or the Fremont PTA.
