Exemptions

Hi,   I thought of something early this morning, it takes me a long time to process information.  We discussed trying to make all of Belmont Heights historic and that it would be ok for a street or area to be excluded.  My thinking is if a street choses not to be historic that they would not be able to change their mind as probably most of their houses would  read more »

Historic interest - Meeting @ Portfolio

Historic Street Signs

Historic street signs for Belmont Heights Historic District took a giant leap forward when the Long Beach Navy Memorial Heritage Association approved a grant for the purchase and installation of new street signs. The Metropolian Transit Authority will pay for 80% of the cost and the grant will pay for the remaining 20%. There are 67 signs in the existing historic district and each sign costs about $100.  read more »

Great Help!


Thanks to everyone that helped distribute flyers for the BHCA candidates forum. Thanks to the PTA, Kids from Fremont Elementary took home about 400 flyers to households in the area. PLus we had at least 10 people walking streets and distributing over 1200 more flyers! hopefully this leads to a good turnout at the forum, and will at least increase awareness of the website and BHCA.  read more »
