Natural Gas pipeline work on 6th Street from Roswell to Termino

The Gas Department is planning work on 6th Street from Roswell to Termino starting with preliminary layout work May 7th and start of actual construction the following week. The project is about 1/10 the size of Naples and about 1/15 the size of the Belmont Shore project. There are only 22 services to customers and about 670 feet of pipeline being replaced in the street.

suspicious package shuts down Ximeno between 7th & Anaheim (or 11th?)

Saw this morning that Ximeno was closed north of 7th.... So I did a little investigating and found out that a suspicious package with wires hanging out, was reported to have fallen into the mailbox at 10th and Ximeno.

Don't miss the free Movies in the Park this summer, presented by Signal Hill Petroleum in cooperation with the Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine and Partners of Parks, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation, supporting public parks, recreation and marine programs and facilities in the City of Long Beach.

Family oriented movies shown under the stars on a 29-foot inflatable screen will be featured at local parks from June 19 through September 1. We'll supply the popcorn and drinks & you bring your lawn chair or blankets, family and friends and settle down to enjoy the fun. All movies begin at dusk.
