About the Event
BHCA's Earth Day Event
BH Clean-Up Contest: 1:00 PM
Clean up supplies including gloves and bags will be distributed for all participants. After 1 hour of collecting trash, cardboard, paper, platstics, etc...from parkways, curbsides and sidewalks, prizes will be distributed to the top 3 collectors by weight. Items that do not count are organic materials such as leaves and twigs. All participants will enjoy an ice cream sandwich from the BHCA.
Neighborhood Organic Exchange: 2:00 PM
Is your garden producing more than you can handle? Why not bring your succulent clippings, home-grown fruits and veggies, excess plants and pots to our Organic Exchange! After the Clean-Up Contest, and while enjoying that hard-earned treat, the BHCA will host a brief community meeting followed by a fun neighborhood swap of organic goods.
