Whether it’s a live Nativity Scene, The Nutcracker Ballet, or a Candlelight Service, November and December are times of seasonal celebration here in the Heights.

This year the Colorado Lagoon Tree Lighting Ceremony will be back! On Friday November 25 head down to the Lagoon for a distanced celebration. Santa will not be able to have kids sit on his lap, but it will still be festive. Check out mybelmontheights.org/events for more details.
An outdoor Nativity Scene, complete with live animals, will be featured on December 12, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church on Termino. In addition, the church is presenting a musical celebration, Lessons and Carols, on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. They will also have a Christmas Eve Service at 5:30 p.m. for families and a High Mass at 11 p.m. For more information, see the church website www.allsaintslb.com.
Our local dance and fitness studio, En Pointe, is presenting their third annual
performance of “Nutcracker, With A Twist.” This fun version of the beloved holiday ballet will show at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the Wilson High School Auditorium. Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, located on Termino, will be celebrating the season of Advent beginning four Sundays before Christmas and ending on Christmas Eve. There will be Worship, Advent Bible Studies, and a Children’s Advent Series. The Christmas Eve event is a Candlelight Service where all are encouraged to bring a candle.
