One of the many traits that gives Long Beach charm is its historic architecture. Without our streets of Bungalows, Spanish Revival, and Craftsman homes, we could easily be another overbuilt coastal community of unimaginative condominium stacks.
Protecting and preserving our architecture and history increases home values and adds character. We are looking for a volunteer from each Historic District within the Belmont Heights Community (Belmont Heights Historic District and Eliot Lane) to form a subcommittee. The volunteers would liaise with their Historic District, the City, and the BHCA Board to raise concerns, share resources, and promote opportunities. The BHCA is not a regulating body but will facilitate and connect relevant parties.
