Membership Chair
The BHCA relies on neighbor-led effort to build community, organize events, deliver local news to over 3,000 homes, and advocate for our neighborhood. Behind every active neighborhood association is a strong community of members—and we are currently looking for a volunteer Membership Chair to join our team!
What Does the Membership Chair Do?
As Membership Chair, you’ll be the friendly face of the BHCA and the catalyst for keeping our community connected and growing. If you enjoy meeting neighbors, staying organized, and brainstorming fresh ideas to get people involved, this role is a great fit.
Core Tasks & Responsibilities
Meeting Welcome & Check-In: Greet neighbors and check attendees in at our monthly community engagement meetings (held on the second Wednesday of the month at Wesley Hall).
Annual Renewal Outreach: Coordinate sending a yearly reminder postcard to members who haven't renewed online to help keep our membership active and up to date.
Membership Tracking: Keep accurate records of active members and track overall membership levels throughout the year.
Growth & Engagement: Brainstorm and launch strategies to attract new members, boost renewals, and expand our reach across Belmont Heights.
Board Collaboration: Attend monthly board meetings to report on membership metrics and collaborate on community initiatives.
Why Get Involved?
Serving as Membership Chair is a direct, impactful way to foster community connection in Belmont Heights. You'll get to welcome new residents, reconnect with longtime neighbors, and play a vital role in keeping our 501(c)(3) nonprofit vibrant and growing.
